Doesn't seem like a problem to me. But, I normally leave that option turned
off.

Nope. These are database graphics, so you basically have the ability to
toggle on or off. Database graphics are designed to automatically place and
move pertinent information so it will be in view as you change scale or, if
in the opinion of the designers some item should drop out of view at certain
scales.

So it seems.

Peter, I had a similar problem in FlightStar, but this one affected the
obstacle icons. Sometime after upgrading to 9.01 or a recent
individual nav data file, I noticed that my obstacle icons were nothing
but large rectangles. I recognized that in other applications, this
would be indicative of a corrupted font. Thus, I suspected that one
of the upgrades somehow corrupted the font that Jeppesen uses for these
obstacle icons.

I called Jepp's tech support to report this problem and they agreed
that a few users were having problems with font sizes/corruption after
updating to a recent nav data release. They asked me to contact
customer support to re-download and install the nav data file, but that
didn't correct the problem. The next step was to call back and request
that Jeppesen send me a CD with the latest nav data and program on it.

Installing from this CD over the existing Flightstar install corrected
the problem. If you haven't already, you should call their customer
support and mention this problem. They should already be aware of it
and should volunteer to send you the latest CD. If they don't, ask
them to. Accept nothing less. :-)

Actually, these graphics come from a font file and are placed on the
map by the nav data file. Go to your Jeppesen program folder and look
under the "Common" folder. There you will see a folder called Fonts.
Browse each font file to see the graphics.
